...ARE WE?
In the late summer of 2009, four men decided to join forces and combine their musical aspirations in a rock band. After months of rehearsing, they recorded a first demo, whilst becoming an actual group. Hence, a fertile elder bud was planted, made to be fostered with the greatest of care, letting it blossom and grow into a wise and mighty elder tree. The quartet, holding on to a very diverse musical taste, performs solid rock songs and poetic soundscapes. Because an elder tree is a notorious pioneer species, the band is all about contemporary vibes, but also pays homage to artists like Elvis, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Stooges, Jan Akkerman or Neil Young. Elder Tree consists of Mathieu Coutant on bass, Ruben Vanhoutte on drums, Matthias Depoorter on guitar, and Yannick Riviere on guitar and vocals.
